Gift Registry

I hope everyone has had a wonderful and relaxing weekend!




A number of people have been asking us about a wedding gift registry. We would however really like to express how much we value the effort required to come to Arrowtown and share our special day with us, and we are very mindful of this, hence your presence on the day is the best present to us.

We have set up a gift registry for those who would wish to use it.

July Update

Good Morning Everyone!

Well I am writing this at 3am during a night shift - so apologies for any spelling and gramatical errors!



We hope that everyone on this side of the equator is rugging up warm and enjoying the crisp and gorgeous winter weather.

Lake Hayes

Thought it would be time for a wee wedding update. Formal invitations should be in the mail next week. We hope that everyone is finding accomodation ok, please let us know if you are having any problems or need any advice on where to be and what to do! We headed down to Queenstown after my clincial exams, and were very excited and in awe as ever by the amazing mountains, snow and scenery! It makes us so super duper excited that we will be able to share one of our favourite parts of the world with you - and all that more special in that we met in those mountains!

We checked out a number of things to do while in the region - the top of our list being a winetour and cheese tasting in the Gibbston Valley (Gibbston Valley Wines), walking around the river and hills in Arrowtown, a gorgeous drive to Cromwell and taking in the scenery in Queenstown.

Accomodation Gems

Hi Everyone!!

I hope you are all enjoying the summer sun (those in the Southern Hemisphere!). I am definitely looking forward to making the most of it come the end of exams on Tuesday!

Here are some good places to start for accomodation. Please scroll down previous posts for advice re: flights, airlines.

We will be sending out directions with the invitation. In a nutshell the wedding ceremony will be held in Arrowtown, and the reception is about 15min away at The Winehouse and Kitchen in the Gibbston Valley. We will be looking into group transport options from Arrowtown to ceremony and reception.

We will be staying in Arrowtown for the week before the wedding (from the 19th Sept) and then a few days after. It would be great to spend time with you during this time (maybe sneak a few ski runs in too!!).

There is a range of accomodation options from holiday houses, hotels, B+Bs, backpackers and motels.

For those outide of NZ know-how, the easiest place to fly into is Queenstown (15min from Arrowtown). Wanaka is an hours drive across the Crown Range. Christchurch is a much bigger airport, and the most beautiful drive via Lake Tekapo and Lake Twizel - this takes around 5+ hours.
